With Sherrod Brown, Fascism is No Exception

Posted on December 17 2011 by Congressional Aid

On December 16 Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio voted to toss people into prison forever without charges, just because the government says that these people are terrorists. The Government doesn’t have to file charges or prove its accusations in court. That would be a trial, and trials are apparently out of date. In voting to [...]

Kaptur Praises Occupy Wall Street Protesters

Posted on October 7 2011 by Congress Watcher

Dennis Kucinich has yet to make any floor speech even mentioning, much less praising, the occupation protests. Can Kaptur use her support for the occupation protests to convince voters that she will be a better representative of liberal values than Kucinich?

Kucinich Exposes American Electric Power’s Role In Rigged Hearing

Posted on August 5 2011 by Congress Watcher

Thanks for American Electric Power and and FirstEnergy, the State of Ohio has more coal-fired generating capacity than any other state in the nation. Ohio’s electric sector also has the ignominious honor of ranking FIRST in the amount of toxic air pollution it emitted in 2009, emitting more than 44.5 million pounds of harmful chemicals, which accounted for 65% of the state’s pollution and 12% of toxic pollution from all U.S. power plants.

Jim Jordan’s Insurance Industry Tailgate Party

Posted on September 23 2010 by Congress Watcher

Jim Jordan’s tailgate party was an invitation-only affair, and it took place in a Washington D.C. townhouse owned by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America. That organization just so happened to have lobbied in opposition to the health care reform that Representative Jordan just so happened to have voted against. Now, that organization is just so happening to help Jordan raise money for his re-election campaign.

Bill Conner Campaign Handicapped By Weak Green Policies

Posted on September 20 2010 by Congress Watcher

Democrats may be discontent with Congressman Austria’s opposition to green energy policies, but as they look at Bill Conner’s embrace of energy industry arguments defending old fossil fuel technologies, they aren’t likely to see enough reason to donate their money to support the Conner for Congress campaign.

Majority of Pat Tiberi campaign cash comes from Out Of State

Posted on September 1 2010 by Congressional Aid

Who does Patrick Tiberi represent? Nominally, Pat Tiberi is the representative of the 12th District of Ohio. But you know the old saying: them who pay the piper call the tune. For his race for re-election against Paula Brooks, Tiberi has raised 55.1% from sources outside the state of Ohio, most of that money from [...]

Paula Brooks is Right: Pat Tiberi Does Nothing to Foster Job Creation

Posted on April 5 2010 by Congressional Aid

The 12th district of central Ohio that Pat Tiberi represents in Congress has been hit harder than most by this economic recession. People are losing their jobs and new occupations to replace them aren’t available. The Columbus area is in crisis. In this environment, Paula Brooks has stepped up to challenge Patrick Tiberi for the [...]

Betty Sutton Challenged By Right Wing Democrat

Posted on December 8 2009 by Congress Watcher

Justin Wooden is in favor of making abortion illegal. He wants to repeal the 17th amendment to the Constitution, taking away the right of voters to elect their own U.S. Senators. He favors cutting foreign aid.
