The FISA Amendments Act was the brainchild of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, but now, President Barack Obama is supporting the 5-year extension of the spying law. There may be a great deal of talk in the coming weeks about a millionaire’s tax, but there will be no action. Republicans won’t budge, no matter how low Obama sets the limit on contributions from wealthy Americans.
