Each particular federal project might have a very small impact on climate, but when considered collectively, the likely impact of the government’s project is quite significant. Knowing where the greatest opportunity for reduction of climate impact lies could result in huge financial savings for the government, and for our society as a whole.

These senators, chose to align themselves with the short-term corporate profits on the very day when NASA’s Goddard Institute reported that the last decade has been the warmest on record.
The Democratic Party is now presiding over the short changing of health care reform and climate legislation while expanding the military budget just as the Republicans did under George W. Bush. Will progressives pretend not to notice, or will the finally withdraw their support for the Democratic Party leaders who have strung them along?
Democrats may have the majority of seats in the Senate, but the Republicans still appear to have the control. The Democratic-Republican distinction appears not to have anything near the meaning as the progressive-regressive split, and the progressives are clearly in the minority.
