Democrats may have the majority of seats in the Senate, but the Republicans still appear to have the control. The Democratic-Republican distinction appears not to have anything near the meaning as the progressive-regressive split, and the progressives are clearly in the minority.
Given the stakes, it’s time for President Obama to allow the truth to be told, and to reveal just what has been going on. No government program is worth the sense of betrayal and distrust that the debate over secrets about secrets about secrets has created.

Without the Democrats helping out, the Republicans couldn’t have gotten the FISA Amendments Act passed. Which ones are the Republicans, and which ones are the Democrats? You figure it out.
