The FISA Amendments Act establishes the Attorney General as a spymaster beyond the reach of the law, with powers to target American citizens within the United States for political or personal reasons. Any senator who votes to approve the FISA Amendments Act may be fairly considered a traitor to the cause of freedom.

Now we have even worse news: Barack Obama says that he will vote to support this attack on the Constitution when it comes up for a vote in the United States Senate next week. Furthermore, Obama pledged that he would keep the unconstitutional spying program against Americans going on if he is elected President. That’s exactly the opposite position that Barack Obama took during the primaries.

To vote for this bill was to insult the Constitution of the United States of America, and in doing so, to insult the USA itself. A vote in favor of this bill is a betrayal of the Oath of Office every member of Congress has taken. It is unpatriotic, and a grave breach of trust.
