Barney Frank Blasts Martin Luther King Day Hypocrites

Posted on January 19 2012 by Congress Watcher

Republicans seem only able to accept one part of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision: The broad outline of racial equality. That’s only one part of what Dr. King was working for. Dr. King also had a vision of economic justice for all people, a world in which a hard day’s work would be rewarded with fair pay, in which war would come to an end, in which health care would be a universally recognized human right.

Posted on October 27 2011 by Congress Watcher

Corporations say that these changes are necessary to help them create jobs, but as James Moran pointed out, the truth is that corporations already have the resources necessary to create jobs, but are refusing to pitch in. They want those extra profits to go to the top 1 percent, not to create jobs for working America.

Rangel Speaks Out Supporting Wall Street Protesters

Posted on October 6 2011 by Congress Watcher

People are mad as hell. They really think that they’ve been let down. They worked so hard to achieve what they had achieved in this great country; and the greatest thing about America is not what you’ve achieved, in my opinion, it is having the hope that you can make it in America.

Congressional Progressive Caucus Proposes Strong Liberal Jobs Bill

Posted on September 13 2011 by Congress Watcher

Joe Heckonomics Exposed At Unemployment Hearing

Posted on August 31 2011 by Congress Watcher

Joe Heck’s political career has been funded by corporations that concentrate wealth in the hands of their top executives instead of creating more jobs… and now, Heck is working to give those corporations, and their fat cat executives, special permanent tax breaks. Heck has his job in Congress, and his financial elite friends are raking in the cash. Keeping that dirty arrangement going seems to be the only jobs plan Heck is willing to consider.
