Gary Swing For Congress From Colorado

Posted on January 13 2012 by Congress Watcher

Congressional candidate Gary Swing supports the legal prohibition of war. He seeks the abolition of weapons of mass destruction – including the massive arsenal of nuclear weapons held by the United States. He advocates the removal of American soldiers from all foreign nations, and their reassignment to purely defensive positions within U.S. borders.

Jerry Moran Takes His Business Outside Kansas

Posted on August 19 2011 by Congress Watcher

Jerry Moran, U.S. Senator from Kansas, will hold his pay-to-play fundraising event at The Broadmoor, a “5 star Colorado Springs resort is located on 3,000 lush acres” with a spa, golf and tennis, hot tubs and valet parking. If that seems far removed from the lifestyle of most families in Kansas, maybe that’s because Senator Moran’s fundraiser is far removed from Kansas itself.

The Fundraising Is Over. Begin The Fundraising!

Posted on November 1 2010 by Congress Watcher

Before the next session of Congress even has a chance to begin, these members of Congress, and many others, are already preparing to take time away from their work on the nation’s business in order to get money from corporations and meet with lobbyists.

Jared Polis Opposes Expanding War

Posted on December 23 2009 by Congress Watcher

Jared Polis presents the concept that, when Americans are presented with a choice between continuing to fight a long war, or ending the war, it’s the responsibility of those who wish to continue the fighting to prove that the war can reasonably be expected to have a positive conclusion.

Stephen Bailey’s opposition to health care reform, and other government programs to help Americans, is based upon a profound misunderstanding of the Constitution of the United States of America.

Challenger to Betsy Markey Doesn’t Understand the Constitution

Posted on December 18 2009 by Congress Watcher

Representative Betsy Markey’s best hope for re-election is that her eventual Republican challenger won’t show any more sense than Dean Madere has demonstrated so far.

Betsy Markey Shows Terrible Timing Joining Blue Dogs

Posted on December 17 2009 by Congress Watcher

Betsy Markey is making her political troubles worse, by aligning herself with the Blue Dog Coalition of right wing Democrats at precisely the time that the reputation of the Blue Dogs is in a worse state than ever.

Betsy Markey Stands With Corporations Against People, But is Not Marilyn Musgrave

Posted on September 7 2009 by Congressional Aid

What can you say that’s nice about Betsy Markey, U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 4th congressional district? Well, at least she isn’t Marilyn Musgrave. The previous representative for Colorado’s 4th District, Musgrave voted to legalize government snooping on citizens without a warrant, tried to restrict the range of free political expression, embarrassed herself with voracious anti-foreigner [...]

Mark Udall Campaigns Against Shifty Schaffer

Posted on January 13 2008 by Congress Watcher

Mark Udall’s opponent, Republican Bob Schaffer, seems to be running on a rickety record of recycled half-truths. He said he was against all taxes, but that wasn’t true. Schaffer lied about his work as a lobbyist. He couldn’t even be truthful on his professional resume.
