Blue Dog Democrat Mike Ross seems to be running a machine campaign. Liberal Democrat Dennis Kucinich appears to be running a grassroots campaign.
In 2008, there was a great deal of hope for meaningful health care reform. In 2009, those hopes are evaporating, as it looks like the “reform” legislation is little more than a shell game that won’t provide Americans with the coverage that they need. This time around, the Democrats don’t have the Republicans to blame. It’s the Blue Dog Democrats who have wrecked the reform process.
It seems that in four years, the Blue Dog Democrats never once managed to get a press release placed on their own web site, though, and now they’ve reduced the site to essentially nothing.
These animals are key ecological players whose presence aids the proper functioning of entire ecosystems. So, who wouldn’t want to support their conservation. Bobby Bright, that’s who, a freshman Representative shaping up to be one of the most regressive Democrats in Congress.
For this bunch of new blue dogs, indifference to the needs of working Americans is only the start of the problem.
