Ann Kirkpatrick, Gabrielle Giffords and Harry Mitchell have posted no statements about SB 1070 on their congressional web sites at all. Neither have they made statements on their re-election campaign web sites.
When candidates like John Hulburd discuss the economy to the exclusion of other issues, they may be speaking to the concerns of voters, but they aren’t speaking to the long-term needs of the nation.
Though in previous sessions of Congress, John Shadegg had a high right wing score, in the 111th Congress, he couldn’t seem to muster as much extremist fervor. He obtained only a 37 out of a possible 100 right wing score, suggesting that Shadegg had become emotionally exhausted with the right wing politics that had propelled his congressional career.
