It isn't just historically inaccurate to create a public display claiming that World War II was a religious crusade. It's also unconstitutional. The legislation, would, if passed, begin the process of the ratification of a constitutional amendment to require all federal political campaigns to be funded solely from public sources. Even candidates' own money could not be used for campaigns. Independent expenditures, under this proposed constitutional amendment, would be prohibited.
