In Move to Hold Back the K Street Gravy Train 1 Year, Michael Fitzpatrick Stands Alone
Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick of the 8th Congressional District of Pennsylvania introduced a new bill at the beginning of 2012. If passed, H.R. 3738 would take the current 1-year waiting period before former House members can join lobbying firms and extend it to 2 years.
In the House of Representatives, fellow legislators indicate their support for a bill by “cosponsoring” it.
H.R. 3738 has no cosponsors. Michael Fitzpatrick stands alone.

Lobbyists do not always benefit the people. They represent the needs of special interest groups and large corporations. Congressmen are tempted when they are offered jobs when their terms are over. Let’s make the government smaller. In this case less means that our Congressmen will represent the people more.
