Kucinich Proposes Constitutional Amendment For Public Funding Of Elections

Nationwide demonstrations, under the banner of Occupy The Courts, will be taking place outside, despite the winter’s cold.

RES. 100. The legislation, would, if passed, begin the process of the ratification of a constitutional amendment to require all federal political campaigns to be funded solely from public sources. Even candidates’ own money could not be used for campaigns. Independent expenditures, under this proposed constitutional amendment, would be prohibited.
