A few members of Congress have now acknowledged the growing occupy movement of protests across the United States. One member of Congress has now gone further. U.S. Representative Karen Bass has visited an occupation protest in person.
Bass writes, “I wanted to hear directly from the people there, and i stand in solidarity with them. Congress needs to hear their message thoughtfully articulated in their declaration: they want to keep their homes; young people don’t want to be saddled with a lifetime of debt for a college education; and most want jobs… They wont stop until it’s achieved and neither will I.”
