Bank of America has obtained great notoriety this weekend for the declaration, caught on video, by Bank of America Director of Public Policy James Mahoney that the corporation would boost the Rick Perry for President campaign.
“Bank of America. We will help you out,” he told Perry.
Of course, it’s not just Rick Perry that Bank of America is boosting. The big bank is also a big manipulator in American politics, using its big money to make big changes in public policy, protecting its big profits.
Bank of America’s generosity towards politicians does not extend to its workers. Bank of America just announced that it’s eliminating 3,500 jobs. Only weeks before that, another 2,500 jobs at Bank of America were cut.
