Lindsey Graham Suggests USA Go To War In Syria
The USA is still fighting in Afghanistan, and after 10 years of war still hasn’t created a stable solution there. The USA went to war in Iraq to take care of a problem that didn’t even exist – and yet there we remain, with American soldiers still fighting and dying. It’s been months now since US fighting in a third war began, this one in Libya. Like the other two wars, the goals of the Libyan war have been ill-defined, and the strategy for success poorly conceived.
Yet, with all these failed wars, Senator Lindsey Graham has now proposed starting a fourth. Graham declared this morning that he wants the Obama Administration to begin preparing to go to war in Syria. “Put everything on the table, including military force,” he said.
Senator Graham had no suggestions about how to pay for the new war. He had no idea of where to get the soldiers and equipment to fight the new war. Rather, Graham seems to believe that the United States can keep extending its military further and further without consequence.
We can’t put military force on the table if the military force is already being used on three other tables. Dependence upon war as an answer to every foreign policy problem we see has not just left our economy impoverished. It has left our nation’s capitol problem solving capacity bankrupt as well.

Of course someone who knows nothing of war wants to go to war….
