Kentuckians Testify Against Rand Paul
Republican Rand Paul is currently ahead in the race for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Kentucky’s Jim Bunning. That doesn’t mean, however, that Paul is certain to win. There are several weeks left in the campaign, still, and Paul’s volatility creates a certain unpredictability.
Over at the Kentuckians Against Paul Facebook Page, Kentucky voters give the following words of caution against Rand Paul:
“Rand Paul is cheering today after learning that seniors will not be getting a cost of living increase in Social Security for 2011. As long as he has a “comfortable living” elderly people can suffer, its ok with him. The Repubs will try to convince seniors that Pres. Obama is to blame;they won’t tell them the formula for Soc.Sec. increases was passed by Congress in 1970.” – Betty Ash
“He gets scarier and scarier the more I hear about him. He’d have us revert back to the days where businesses essentially felt they owned their workers in the US, and exploitations people fought to end. I can’t believe how completely naive he is. He’s completely forgotten the history of unregulated business in America.” – Kent Goertzen
“I doubt that Rand Paul is capable of working with both sides of the aisle. He will only hinder Pres. Obama’s efforts to clean up policy and eliminate the corruption allowed by Republicans.” – Marianna Ashey
“Rand Paul can’t handle the real people of KY. He only wants to rub elbows with the country club elite and thousand dollar a plate dinners. Not the real working people, he behaved just like corporate big wig. Just wave you aside with your concerns, the important people are talking now.” – Pat McGrowen
“Rand Paul does not care about the working people of Kentucky or the elderly. He just cares about what he can get out of it. Just like the rest of the Tea party crowd.” – David Branthoover
” He wants to lead and represent us and he couldn’t find Paducah to save his life.” – Jesse Wheat
