Republican congressional candidate Raul Labrador “I am not somebody who came from Washington, D.C., to be put down in front of the people of Idaho just because I could speak pretty.”
Strictly speaking, Labrador is right. He’s not someone who came from Washington, D.C. to Idaho. He’s someone who flew from Idaho to Washington D.C. to attend a breakfast meeting with lobbyists arranged for him by Washington D.C. political insiders and grab a lot of money. At that breakfast meeting, Labrador specifically asked for payments of $2,500 from industry-aligned political action committees in exchange for a special “host” position of access at the meeting.
