Earl Blumenauer Signs On To No New Drilling Act
H.R. 5248, the No New Drilling Act, moved a step closer to serious consideration in the House of Representatives yesterday. Earl Blumenauer has added his name as a cosponsor of the legislation.
The move is just one part of Blumenauer’s comprehensive approach to dealing with the problem of offshore drilling. “Congress also has the responsibility to reduce our dependence on oil and minimize the possibility of this type of event from happening again,” says Blumenauer.
