Ginny Brown-Waite And GOP Successor Nugent Do Nothing On Oil Spill
U.S. Representative Ginny Brown-Waite‘s congressional district sits on the western coast of Florida, right under the panhandle, in the path of the enormous oil spill that has resulted from the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon offshore oil rig. For that reason, one might presume that Brown-Waite would jump into action upon news of the disaster.
Actually, Brown-Waite’s reaction was quite different. She announced her retirement from the House of Representatives, and hasn’t issued another press release since. Her congressional office has issued no information for constituents trying to prepare for the impact of the spill. Neither has Brown-Waite written or co-sponsored any legislation to deal with the causes or effects of the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
Representative Brown-Waite has identified another politician she wants to succeed her in Congress. She asked Republican Richard Nugent to run for her seat in the House of Representatives, and Nugent accepted. So, if Ginny Brown-Waite is no longer choosing to deal with the Deepwater Horizon emergency, it’s the responsibility of Richard Nugent to step forward with a plan for saving the 5th district’s beaches, to show that he’s qualified for the job of U.S. Representative.
So far, Nugent has been silent.

Not true…. when Obama said “what do you want me to do suck it up with a straw?”, Ginnie sent him a year’s supply. He sucks big time but it hasn’t done any good.
