Mike Pence Relationship With Insurance Giant Questioned
Yesterday afternoon, Irregular Times reported on a previously undiscovered a rather large cluster of campaign donations from employees of Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield to Mike Pence, who represents the 6th congressional district in Indiana. The donations all were made on one day, and all but one came from New Jersey (the other donation came from New York).
This morning, scanning the FEC data, one related piece of data comes out. Two months before the bulk donations to Representative Pence, Doyce Boesch, who worked last year as a lobbyist for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, gave Pence some money of his own.
Is Boesch just another brick in the very shady wall of Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield donations, or just working for another one of his clients when he made that donation to Congressman Pence? To be fair, there were many other lobbyists, working for many corporate clients other than Horizon, who gave money to Pence last year.
