War on Drugs
Thursday, March 11 at 10:00 AM, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing to mark up long-delayed legislation rectifying the discrepancy in sentencing for crack cocaine vs. powder cocaine possession.
Elections
Wednesday, March 10 at 10:00 AM, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on the impact of corporate spending on federal elections.
Environment
Tuesday, March 9 at 10:00 AM, the Senate Committee on the Environment will hold a hearing soliciting corporate manufacturers’ opinion on legislation to change regulations of toxic chemicals.
Homeland Insecurity
Wednesday, March 10 at 10:00 AM, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs will hold a hearing using the failed attempt to burn an airplane as a backdrop against which to assess government watch lists and data mining activities.
Military
Wednesday, March 10 at 10:00 AM, the Senate Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing on the use of the U.S. military to counter “extremism.”
Wednesday, March 10 at 2:30 PM, the Senate Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing on the use of weapons in space.
