We've been fighting to stop Congress from renewing this illegal nonsense since 2001.

What a difference a year makes when around 35 of 52 members of the bogus, lying, hypocritical Tea Bagging caucus, and 175 Republicans vote YEA on dissing the constitution (which they LOVE LOVE LOVE so much) and pass to extend the Pat Act.

Is that ok now that the Republicans and Tea party voted for it?? We bet that's OK with Tea Bagging followers who are clueless to what the constitution really means but USE it to make people think they really care.

If you're anti Democrat then you're usually anti ACLU - and yet it's the ACLU that's been fighting to get these ILLEGAL provisions out since the 107th Congress first passed this crap in 2001.

If you plan on coming back to me about "but the Democrats ..." Keep it. They are screwed up too. But at least they don't grandstand in the media like Republicans do professing their undying love for our constitution. Having it read on the house floor then spitting on it a month later. What idiots.

And .. That's Your Congress now!!

[...] Adding to the irony, the poll was taken on the same weekend the extension of the PATRIOT Act passed the Democratic-controlled Congress – without debate, without a peep of protest from the “progressives” in Congress, and disguised as a vote in favor of a Senate amendment to the Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act. Bravery is not something we see much of in Washington, D.C. As one blogger put it: [...]
