Those Who Crossed The Line On Rangel Vote
There’s trouble still to be had for U.S. Representative Charles Rangel, who stands accused of ethical, and possibly criminal, violations related to his failure to declare income on his tax return and in his required income disclosures as a member of Congress. For today, however, Rangel is safe. He survived a vote that could have evicted him from his seat as Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee. The challenge was defeated in a 246-153 procedural vote that took place nearly, but not strictly, according to party lines.
Six Republicans voted in favor of blocking the effort to remove Rangel. They were:
Ron Paul
Walter Jones
Dana Rohrabacher
Peter King
Tim Murphy
Don Young
Two Mississippi Democrats went the other way, voting against the leadership of their own political party, in favor of allowing the effort to unseat Rangel to continue. They were:

Ron Paul voted against it because as a TRUE DEFENDER OF THE CONSTITUTION and ALL Americans….he believes that we are ALL innoncent until proven guilty and wants Rangel to go through the DUE PROCESS like he wouild with You and Me.
We must ALL respect that or else next time it could be YOU.
PS…can you please explain that in your post. I think it is only fair…no?
I’m all l in favor of fairness, but he’s found guilty of committing these sins, he should have to forfeit all pay and allowances for the rest of his life! This is potentially worse than the fraud committed by Republican Congressman Cunningham!
