You can tell Rep. Michele Bachmann feels pretty strongly about health care reform legislation. Speaking in Colorado recently, she made these remarks about extending health care coverage for Americans:
This is slavery. It’s nothing more than slavery…. This cannot pass.
What we have to do today is make a covenant, to slit our wrists, be blood brothers on this thing. This will not pass. We will do whatever it takes to make sure this doesn’t pass.
We have to slit our wrists to prevent Americans from getting health care coverage? Well, Bachmann has got a point, if you think about it. If enough people commit suicide, demand for health care coverage will go way, way down.
“Something is way crazy out there,” Bachmann said in conclusion. Uh huh.
