The Magliocchetti Anxiety List for Congress
The Feds are investigating Paul Magliocchetti and a web of his associates for evidence of corruption in military contracting. The man was profligate, handing out $368,013 of his own money in hard contributions, possibly tossing in soft contributions and allegedly getting his friends, family and employees to kick in large multiples of the same.
These are the top ten recipients of Paul Magliocchetti’s direct largesse in the United States Congress over the past twelve years:
Peter Visclosky: $27,000
John Sununu (ex-Senator): $22,750
James Moran: $16,500
Mike Doyle: $13,500
Norman Dicks: $11,900
Bill Nelson: $10,463
Bill Pascrell: $8,000
Loretta Sanchez: $8,000
Alan Mollohan: $6,500
Jerry Lewis: $6,500
These sums look smallish, but remember that Magliocchetti is suspected of bundling coordinated contributions from multiple sources, including his own employees. If I were a staffer for one of the members of Congress named above, I’d be getting ready for some lengthy interviews.
