Candice S. Miller Says She Won’t Listen To Constituent Concerns

Posted on September 25 2008 by Congressional Aid

Candice MillerYesterday, Representative Candice S. Miller of Michigan said that she was not inclined to listen to her constituents, who are overwhelmingly in opposition to the $700,000,000,000.00 corporate giveaway emerging in Washington. “I appreciate all of the input that I’m getting from my constituents, but I’m just not reacting to that — I can’t until I understand it better and feel comfortable with my vote. And I’m not sure how I’m going to be voting yet.”

If you live in Candice Miller’s district, you might want to know that.

When we elect the same people into office. All we can expect is “more of the same”.

What part of the word “REPRESENTATIVE” does this woman not understand?

If she cannot figure out how to vote, she should vote the way the people in her district are telling her to vote.

    SHE IS THEIR VOICE!
    THEY ARE NOT HER SUBJECTS!

She sounds like the kind of politician who waits to see which way the political wind is blowing to figure out what she thinks is the right thing to do.

IF A POLITICAL REPRESENTATIVE DOES NOT ALREADY KNOW WHAT TO DO THEY ARE IN THE WRONG PROFESSION!

Here in Mississippi, we would not put up with someone like this.

I was pleasantly surprised that my Democratic congressman voted NO to the bailout. He listened. He knows that it’s not about him.

I am currently trying to get a phone call through to my senators to let them know how I prefer they vote on the issue. It is my understanding that they both have announced that they intend to vote no.

If the economy tanks, SO BE IT! There are too many smart people in this country to let this economy come to a complete halt. Business will find a way to conduct business. Throwing taxpayer money at the problem will not fix the problem.

After I contact my senators, and voice my opinion, I’m going to the car dealer to see what kind of deal I can get on a new car. If he is unwilling to haggle. I’ll just wait a few more weeks.

“feel comfortable” is code for my leadership hasn’t told me how to vote yet OR I haven’t figured out what excuse I’m going to use to explain my vote OR Geez, I didn’t know anybody was paying attention! She’s an absolute waste of our tax dollars.

Not only did she not listen to us on this, but she also voted against authorizing the extension for unemployment. How can someone who represents one of the most depressed areas in the country do that? Although I don’t agree with many of her positions, I’ve always supported Candice because she has always fought for this area. No more.

We have suffered in Candice Miller’s district for years, she has denied she voted for the bailout but now the truth comes out. To add insult to injury she has sold out our manufacturing base to communist China and other slave labor labor with free trade deals. She has sold her soul!!
