In 2008, Mark Udall is campaigning to represent Colorado in the United States Senate. Udall has a solid career in the U.S House of Representatives, including many principled votes, such as last year’s vote against a new spy law that allowed for massive, unsupervised government programs to engage in electronic spying against law-abiding American citizens.
Udall’s opponent, Republican Bob Schaffer, seems to be running on a rickety record of recycled half-truths. He said he was against all taxes, but that wasn’t true. Schaffer lied about his work as a lobbyist. He couldn’t even be truthful on his professional resume.
All this, and more, is coming to the surface at the critical web site Shifty Schaffer. If you’ve got your own ideas about Bob Schaffer’s shifty past, they’re looking for submissions.
