Steve Driehaus Takes On Steve Chabot In SouthWest Ohio
Among the hundreds of politicians in the United States House of Representatives, Congressman Steve Chabot stands out as one of the more stubborn pro-Bush, right wing ideologues. In the current session of Congress, Representative Chabot has achieved little of value, blocking those seeking to move legislation to get the American government out of the quagmire set by years of failed Republican policies. Chabot has earned only a 30 percent score, out of a potential of 100, in the Progressive Patriots legislative index for 2007.
The citizens of the first congressional district in Ohio are lucky, then, that Steve Driehaus has come along, and started a campaign to clean up the mess that Steve Chabot and his ilk have left us.
Driehaus has agreed to challenge Congressman Chabot in the 2008 election. You could call it the battle of the Steves. Really though, it’s a contest between those who want to keep America repeating its past failures, and those who want to move forward into a more hopeful future. The campaign of Steve Driehaus for Congress is on the side seeking to move America forward.
If you’re a citizen of Ohio’s first congressional district, please visit the Driehaus for Congress web site and see for yourself what he’s got to say.

Yes, he has nothing to say. Candidate sites often have only very general issues sections, leaving one frustrated to understand where they really stand. But Driehaus is the first candidate I’ve seen to not give any stands on any issues at all on his Web site.
