The Endangered Species Recovery Act of 2007 is one of the most worthwhile pieces of legislation to enter the US Senate in 2007. If passed, the legislation would give incentives to help private landowners to protect and enhance habitat for endangered species on their property. That’s especially important, given the vulnerability of wildlife under our rapidly changing climate. Senators from both the Republican and Democratic parties have cosponsored the bill.
So, why haven’t any of the presidential candidates from the United States Senate co-sponsored the Endangered Species Recovery Act of 2007? The number of the bill in the Senate is S.700. Give a call to the presidential campaigns of the following candidates and ask them what they’ve got against investing in the protection of endangered species in the USA.
John McCain - (703) 418-2008
Hillary Clinton - (703) 469-2008
Barack Obama - (866) 675-2008
Joseph Biden - (302) 574-2008
Christopher Dodd - (202) 737-3633
