In 2006, we were promised that if we could elect a Democratic majority to the House of Representatives and the Senate, the Democrats would move quickly to end the Iraq War.
Promise broken.
The following are Democrats that were elected to the House of Representatives in 2006 that voted on May 24, 2007 in favor of continuing the Iraq War:
Jason Altmire of Pennsylvania
Nancy Boyda of Kansas
Christopher Carney of Pennsylvania
Joseph Donnelly of Indiana
Brad Ellsworth of Indiana
Gabrielle Giffords of Illinois
Kirstin Gillibrand of New York
Baron Hill of Indiana
Steven Kagen of Wisconsin
Nick Lampson of Texas
Timothy Mahoney of Florida
Harold Mitchell of Arizona
Ciro Rodriguez of Texas
Joseph Sestak of Pennsylvania
Heath Shuler of North Carolina
Zachary Space of Ohio
Timothy Walz of Minnesota
Charles Wilson of Ohio
Pro-war Democrats, each and every one.
These Democrats do not deserve to be re-elected to Congress in 2008. Anti-war Democrats in their congressional districts need to find more reliable Democrats to challenge them, and replace them as the Democratic nominees to the House of Representatives in 2008.
