Democratic congressional candidate Keith Ellison has gotten a lot of attention for being a Muslim. You’d think, from some of the press coverage, that that’s all there is to him. The truth is that Keith Ellison didn’t win the Democratic nomination because he’s a Muslim. Rather, he won the Democratic nomination in his district because he’s reached out to a wide range of groups that have good cause to be upset with the corrupt and misguided Republican Congress in Washington D.C.

Like Carol Shea Porter, Keith Ellison has shown the wisdom to use YouTube to spread the word about his campaign, not just by cutting and pasting his TV advertisements, but by sharing extended video clips about his campaign. Smart move.
