Congratulations to Patty Wetterling, who beat out a group of other strong progressive Democratic congressional candidates to become the newest of the Progressive Patriots, candidates endorsed and supported by Russ Feingold’s growing campaign network.
It’s an impressive achievement, because winning the title of Progressive Patriot requires grassroots support from actual voters, not behind-the-scenes maneuvering with insider political power brokers. Wetterling’s campaign has an impressive record of online activism, winning the support of John Edwards’s One America Committee in a similar contest earlier this summer.
