I am beginning to be concerned that Ohio Republican Representative Bob Ney may be suffering from early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. First, Mr. Ney directed his office to bark in public that he “has never, at any point, engaged in any improper, unethical, or illegal activity.” Such belligerent arrogance, the content of which is clearly untrue, is typical behavior for an individual suffering through the initial disorienting confusion of Alzheimer’s. And now it comes out that Representative Ney met for well over an hour with members of a casino-related tribe, helped them out with legislation, and then forgot about the whole thing!
Mr. Ney, please, see a doctor. Treatment may help to alleviate symptoms somewhat and lengthen the trajectory of your deterioration.
