Columbus Hack TV Station Muffles Criticism of Deborah Pryce

You can’t find this piece of news on the TV: you’ll have to go to the UK’s Guardian newspaper to read of WBNS, a television station in Columbus, Ohio that has refused to air advertisements critical of Republican Representative Deborah Pryce during her bid for re-election. The advertisements, paid for by Moveon.org, note that Rep. Pryce took big donations from defense contractors before voting in favor of those defense contractors, and took big donations from energy corporations before voting in favor of those energy corporations.

These claims are true. But that didn’t stop WBNS, which rents the public airwaves, from censoring the advertisements. Some facts, it seems, are highly inappropriate for the public to know.
