Republican Senate Betrays America With Vote For Low Wages

  • Times the Senate Democrats have proposed increasing the minimum wage since then: Nine
  • Times that the Senate Republicans have stopped a minimum wage increase from going through since then: Nine
  • Amount that an American working full time for the minimum wage makes per year: $10,700
  • Amount that the annual salary of United States senators has increased since the last federal minimum wage increase: Almost $30,000

    The Republican Senate has failed to do the minimum to support hard-working American families. Yesterday, once again, the Republicans voted to say that Americans who work full time do not deserve a guaranteed income of more than $10,700 a year.

    That’s the true face of Republican moral values.
