The National Journal published an article last month entitled “Chasing Hillary,” about the United States Senators (and a few Governors) who aim to become the next President of the United States. Hillary Clinton, Evan Bayh, John Kerry, Russell Feingold and Joseph Biden are all profiled, for their — what? Popularity among voters? Issue positions? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
No, of course not. They’re being profiled for their ability to please and thereby draw to them big money donors. That is, after all, what wins the presidency. That is what’s relevant. So who asked you what you think, puny citizen? You just go back to your American Idol and don’t worry your pretty little head none. Everything’s already being taken care of. So just sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
