Iraq and the United Arab Emirates: Two countries, two standards
The government of Iraq never had a friendly contact with Al Quaeda.
The government of the United Arab Emirates was cited by the 9-11 Commission as having coordinated with Al Quaeda in the time leading up to the attacks of September 11, 2001 was described by the commission as “a persistent counterterrorism problem”.
The Republican White House reacted to this information by invading and occupying Iraq and giving the United Arab Emirates.
The Republican Party is seeking to use its record on national security in the 2006 congressional elections. No wonder they’re panicking.
